Natural Writer #1: Allergy remedy

*sigh* Due to legal stuffs I get to do a disclaimer since this is the first thing to be posted.
Ahem…

Disclaimer: Due to my personal diet (AKA body chemistry) I cannot promise that any remedy given will work to the same capacity it did for me.
*dusts hands* Okay, onward to the blend that saved my liver.

Backstory: I have had really bad allergies since I can remember. On top of having hay fever I’m also deathly allergic to pet dander. I was taking two 12 hr allegra decongestants per day every day. When I tried to do the 24 hr it never cleared my nasal passage up enough for me to breathe or eat. Every single year I would get a nasal infection that had so many things on top of it the doctor had to refer to the med school pharmacy books to get me the right medicine to knock them all out. So that means I was taking one too many antibiotics yearly. Going natural was something I knew I had to give a shot since side effects could possibly shorten my life if I stayed on them.

Playing around with Doterra oils to make a specific blend made my lungs sound so much better that my doctor was thoroughly baffled. This is how I did it.

Specifically these three oils in a diffuser. (I use Aroma Ace.)
Now each of these bottles have 250 drops. The blend is put thusly into a spare bottle:

Half a bottle of Breathe (about 125 drops if you want to count. I just put my finger on the halfway point and stop.)

1/4th Wintergreen and the choice between 25 drops of OnGuard or until it finishes off the bottle. (Personally I don’t like the heavy scent of citrus so I do 25-30 drops.)

Why these three together? Isn’t Breathe enough?

Yes and no. I always keep a bottle of Breathe in my purse. I added Wintergreen and OnGuard to the mix as part of an experiment.
Wintergreen is my favorite scent but it is also my favorite oil for aches in muscles and joints. Aromatically it is said to, “influences, elevates, opens, and increases awareness in [the] sensory system.” (Modern Essentials, 2012.) So I figured it wouldn’t hurt to have it in the blend.

OnGuard. Helpful, stinging stuff (when applied as antibiotic on wounds), that is nicknamed “The Protective Blend.” In summary, OnGuard is the stuff that takes care of bacteria and viruses. Since I have a really crappy immune system, I get sick a lot. So adding this was part of an experiment to see if it would help.
So through this blend you have allergy killer, anti-virus slash mold killer (which in a wood house does not hurt to have), and a sensory aid.

How much does this really help?

This past year I’ve gone cold turkey on all of my allergy related meds this past year. No inhaler and no pills. A great thing after I got off of the chemical withdrawal. Put that in a specific time line: It has been, to the date, 11 months and 1 week since I last took a decongestant. 11 months since I took an allergy pill. I’ve been chemical free for almost one full year. I’ve detoxed my liver and was handed a blood test that said I was 50% better than I was the previous year.

Side note: I’m just now getting into being a Doterra Wellness Advocate. I’ve been arguing with the blog on “yes I got the code in right” so hopefully I got all of the links to the store correct. If anyone wants to know more about Doterra shoot me a message and I'll get to you promptly.
